MG’s 1st product is launched in India. The MG Hector has attracted a lot of interest and attention with its technologies. The Hector is the longest car in this segment. Hector is available in four variant- Super, Smart, Style, and Sharp. There are 5 colours available White, Silver, Black, Burgundy red, and blaze red. MG Hector is a five-seater midsize SUV. It has the longest wheelbase of 2750mm. And has 587-litre boot space. Talking about the features it has a large 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system but it is not available in all variants. It contains feature like in Built 4G internet connectivity through eSIM, Now you can control AC as well as door lock and unlock system from the iSMART mobile application. Also, the voice command feature is the main highlight of this car whereby you can control many other things through your voice like AC, Music, sunroof, window etc.
This vehicle is available in 2 variants petrol and diesel engine. Both Petrol and Diesel are available with Manual transmission. In Petrol segment engine will available in 48v Mild-hybrid setup and a manual gearbox. The two engine options offered by the team MG – 2.0-litre diesel delivers out 170PS of power and 250 Nm of torque and 1.5-litre turbo petrol. Both engines offer the same 6-speed manual transmission with ideal start-stop function. Also offers a torque boost function. It also comes with automatic dual-clutch. There’s no AWD version in MG Hector like the jeep compass or no terrain response like in the Tata Harrier. Hence the Hector is Bigger rich looks and features loaded SUV, sets a higher standard for in-car technology.
MG Hector launched in India as a five-seat SUV for now. However MG Motor has the plan to introduce seven-seat SUV as well at a later stage.
MG Hector launched in India at a price range of Rs 12.18-16.88 lakh.
