TVS team did a great job. They launch the 1st ethanol-powered variant motorcycle in India. Called TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi E100.
Features of Apache RTR 200 Fi E100, It has LED DRLs, LED tail lamp and a fully digital instrument console. In Ethanol variant the TVS team changes its fuel tank colour. Fuel tank coloured in white paint with lime green graphics and the ‘Ethanol’ decal on it.
Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 and Apache 200 4V has the same split double-cradle frame, telescopic fork and monoshock suspension. On the braking side ethanol powered have only single channel ABS or in Apache 200 4V have dual channel ABS setup it uses the same setup 270mm front and 240 mm rear disc. Talking about the fuel injector the TVS team changed the fuel injected motor to run on 100% ethanol. This motorcycle setup run on a mixture of 80% of ethanol and 20 of petrol. It produces 21 ps at 8500 rpm and 18.1 Nm at 7000 rpm.
TVS company claims a top speed of 129 kmph. TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 priced at Rs 1.2 Lakh (ex-showroom,Delhi). this motorcycle is only available in Maharastra, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh for now. Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 is Rs 8,600 more costly that RTR 200 4V (ABS).
